I think Amy is an excellent companion — and Matt Smith stepped into the role of Doctor brilliantly. I am a Tennant FANATIC (I can’t help it… he’s got great hair…), but Smith in no way disappointed. He and Miss Amelia Pond are great together, and I am enjoying the new series.

I was prepared not to like the new Doctor just because I liked David Tennant so much. (David always reminded me of Tom Baker.)

I was pleasantly surprised by how well Matt Smith stepped into the role and became the Doctor (much like Sylvester McCoy). Matt is already one of my favorite doctors after only three episodes.

Last, but by no means least, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond is a stroke of genius. She is absolutely brilliant and engaging and gorgeous and sweet and intuitive and I could go on for hours.

Doctor Who continues as my favourite TV show.

i think she was really cute as a child and as a police woman she looks sexy!
as for matt smith he is really good at acting as doctor who and he also is really fit!!! jokes!!!!!!!

Don’t worry. Us oldies from the Pertwee/Baker era still remember the young hotties from those series. Who can forget Leela, or Romana? Rwar What I’m getting at is that we are not seeing something new. It has always been that way.

I agree with the younger actor for a younger audience, but at the same time, there is a large group of older people too who have grown up with Doctor Who. These people were watching the Dr before most of us were even born.

I just want to see them forgotten about.

It only makes sense really, a younger doctor/companion for a younger audience, i think it is clever casting, seen matt mith in a few things he can act so im not worried one bit
